After Care
Aftercare for LED Lash Extensions
Keep your lashes clean, soft, and long-lasting. LED Lash Extensions give you stronger retention and less irritation — but proper aftercare is essential to protect your natural lashes and help your set last as long as possible.
Lash Shampoo Included With Your First Set
Every new client receives a complimentary professional lash shampoo at their first appointment.
This cleanser is specially formulated for LED lash wear to:
- Restore your lash line’s natural pH
- Remove oils, makeup, and environmental buildup
- Prevent premature shedding
- Help your lashes bond better and last longer
We recommend using your lash shampoo daily or at least 3–4 times per week.
How to Care for Your LED Lashes
1. Wash Your Lashes Daily
Use your complimentary lash shampoo to cleanse your lash line thoroughly. Massage gently at the roots and rinse with cool water.
A clean lash line prevents:
- Oil breakdown
- Poor retention
- Bacteria buildup
- Irritation and lash mites
Clean lashes last longer — always.
2. Avoid Oil-Based Products
Oil can weaken even LED bonds. Avoid oil-based makeup, oil based eye creams (no shea butter, coconut oil ect), and greasy products around the eye area. Choose water-based or oil-free products whenever possible.
3. Brush Lashes Daily
Use a clean spoolie to gently brush and fluff your lashes each morning and after cleansing. This keeps your set neat and aligned.
4. Avoid Extreme Heat & Steam
LED lashes cure instantly, but extreme heat can still weaken the bond and singe the lashes. Avoid standing too close to hot ovens or blow dryers.
5. Sleep Gently
Side or stomach sleeping can bend or crush fans. Try to sleep on your back when possible, or use a silk pillowcase to reduce friction.
6. Do Not Pick or Pull
If a lash feels out of place, brush it — never pull. Pulling can damage your natural lashes and affect future retention.
7. Book Fills Every 2–3 Weeks
LED lashes last longer, but fills are still needed to maintain fullness:
- Every 2 weeks for consistently full lashes
- Every 3 weeks for moderate retention
- More than 4 weeks usually requires a new full set
Signs You Need a Fill
- Your lashes are starting to look uneven or patchy
- You see visible gaps in the lash line
- Fans are growing out, twisting, or tilting
- More than about 40% of extensions have shed
Not sure? We’re happy to take a look and recommend the best option for you.
